HP Laser Printer Toner Reset [Quick Guide]

To reset your HP printer toner, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Turn off your HP printer.

Step 2: Press down the printer’s green button.

Step 3: Turn on your HP printer.

This will cause the LED indicators to flash a bit before turning off. After that, the attention LED will then turn on some seconds later. The ready LED will also come on as well as the green LED.

Step 4: While the above happens, ensure that you continue to press down the printer’s green button.

The attention and ready LEDs will go off after some seconds.

Step 5: Push the printer’s toner “rotate” button. The printer’s green button should still be pressed down even as you do this.

This action will cause the LED to start flashing.

Step 6: Once you see the flashing LED, let go of both buttons (green and toner rotate).

Step 7: Press the Cancel (red) button repeatedly.

As a result, the working LEDs will go off.

Step 8: Open and then close the printer’s lid once.

This will cause the LED to begin blinking.

Step 9: Press the printer’s green button.

This final act will reset the chip of the toner cartridge.
