HP Printer Reset EWS Password [Quick Guide]

To reset your HP printer’s EWS password, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Press down the “Cancel” and “Wireless” buttons for about three seconds.

Once you have done this, you need to set up a new EWS password. Simply continue with the steps below to do this.

Step 2: Open an internet browser on your computer.

Step 3: Click on the browser’s address field.

Step 4: Type your printer’s IP address.

Step 5:  Press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Step 6: Click the tab labeled “Security”.

Step 7: Go to “General Security”.

Step 8: Retain the default admin username; hence, don’t enter anything in that field.

Step 9: Fill the field for “New Password”.

Step 10: Confirm the password by re-entering the password in the “Password Verification” field.

Step 11: Click “Apply” if you find it at the page’s bottom.
